so many memories!
This just keeps running through my head. Put a record on, raise a glass. Try to treat each day like it's your last!

Dunno
Hi All,
I haven't even thought about this board in over a decade but the news yesterday brought it back.
Its so long ago I'm not sure this is the handle I used. Probably nostalgia but fellings flooded back. Magic nights in the Lobby Bar. Whelans. Leap. De Barras. Standing on the quays outside the Loddy with Mic Christopher singing after closing.
The discovery of the frames. The vibe. The tribe. The love. The comeraderie. Before kids when music was everything. It was a revalation. You did wonder what would happen if the heart just stopped. The breatless wait between Fitzcarraldo and For the Birds.
Yesterday brought it tumbling back. The joy that man brought. The energy. The fuck it all just feel it.
Today I felt I needed a community. Seeing these names gives comfort.
We all felt we knew him, but condolences to those who knew and loved the man and not just the artist.
The cliche is that an artist lives while his art lives. There is truth there.
It was written for Luke Kelly but if the cap fits......
From Dublin streets and roads and down the years
Came great musicians and balladeers
There was a special one, a red haired minstrel boy
And when he passed away, a city mourned its favorite son

Still reeling
Much love to all here. I still can't believe it. So many gigs and each one more exhilarating than the one before. Rest in peace.

All the memories
I couldn't bring myself to post until now. Hadn't thought of this board until I heard the news and although I was never a regular poster i loved the sense of community it brought. A shared sense of awe of all things Frames. It's hard to believe there will never be another Frames gig. I do feel lucky for all the ones I experienced though! Love to all

aw Glen
What a gentleman.
I cannot say I know Glen - I just met him very briefly in person, and what an easy human to connect with. It's a devastating loss - I'm only consoled by the idea that his heyday with Mic has recommenced.
R.I.P., Glen. I'm sorry you had to go, and even more respect the work you did connecting folks through music.
I'lll call this, 'Time off for good behavior,' while still feeling so, so sad for your family who must get along without you.
You did good, sir. If I think you went too soon, there'll be a reason I don't know about - and I will do my best to celebrate the work you did while here.
warm regards, Glen.
