I have to say, boysI have tried hard to go along with it, with Glen's solo songs purely because I don't want to be a begruder and I WANT to be a supporter but boys the songs are so boring. the albums don't feel authentic. even the artwork the too thought about videos. I'm not a teenager and I feel like a teenager when I say that I miss the frames so much and the frames songs and going to see the frames etc. etc. I miss everything about it. I don't want Glen to read this and I know he never logs on but I want to know if anyone else is feeling this as well. The songs are not good. The Swell Season had an interesting thing (not a fabulous thing) but the piano songs on the solo stuff are so forgettable and the guitar stuff has become bland. It is like two different people wrote the wild willing and for the birds. I'm trying not to give out but I'm going to see Vedder soon and I think I'm just going to have to skip the support and it's bollocks.

agreedYup. Still love Glen, will still go see him live anytime he comes to my city, but the last two solo albums have been incredibly meh. Would love a new Frames record, would be interesting to see a return to that style after 10+ years away from it

Sorry to say that, but.......

Just listen last night to an old bootleg from 2002 in vienna: this was just a "Best Of Frames"-Compilation - incredible!!

They’re different beasts Just wanted to add that while you’re entitled to your opinion I don’t think it’s fair to compare The Frames with Glen’s recent solo work. He’s obviously going into uncharted territories and in different directions than The Frames. Latest album is moody & dark in places and tearjerkingly beautiful in others (that Persian woman’s singing at the end of Fool’s Game). Let Glen have his creative outlet without criticism. Ya never know, he might need this in order to come back with The Frames & blow our minds with a new album.
Still class live no matter what band he’s playing with! I’d say keep the creative juices flowing. I love it 😊
