Sooolast week I went to a drum hang with Graham Hopkins in Cork, In a hipster coffee shop no less. It was amazing to watch him play up close and chat about all things drums. Also he played a few Glen songs and walked through how he came up with the Drum parts for them, Dream awake being the highlight.. it's a powerful drum beat when the kit is on your lip. He spoke of doing it again so if he does get along if ya can. Don't think it's just for drummers or even musicians, IT's a great night of entertainment. Some fun stories from his Dad about drumming back in the day and also from Gerry McDonnell who was doing the sound for the night. FYI Gerry told me about his sons band and I had a listen.. They are really good if anyone want's to check them out. They are called Ape Rising.
