i seem to remember

hearing that it was originally a natural finish tele. glen decided that he'd prefer it black so painted it and that paint job has worn off over the years. In <a href="http://filmireland.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/thecommitmentsscreen.jpeg">this image</a> from the commitments you can see it having worn away from the lower front of the body and that has just spread over the year.

The Lambretta Tele

Im pretty sure i read somewhere that its a korean knockoff too, or that the body is a knockoff and theres an 80s Japanese neck on it, ive seen it up close and it doesnt have the thickness at the nut that most thinlines i have played have... just a personal observation, i wouldnt take it to the bank
