Didn't He RambleA good album, not a great album...

Any thoughts on Glen’s album?

Overall I don’t think it’s as good as his first. He seems to have put a lot into the lyrics, yet most of the song’s sound just lack a bit of a kick or a bit of creativity.

The live shows will obviously be class as he and the band will add more life to them, but it would have been good if the album had more spark.

Nice tale behind the song McCormack’s Wall, but bad form of Glen though in leading poor Lisa O’Neill astray like that!

It's goodLike the different genres he touches on while making a very cohesive album. Is there a little of playing towards an American audience? Like that it's deals with the struggles but that is a reward in itself, good hopeful album. Lots of empathy towards the characters in it from him

For it´s the besthe´s ever done as his solo work. I can´t give the exact reasons why but I just fell in love with it and have listened to it so many times, love its intimacy. It can be really seen that he was thinking about the songs much more than ever before.

didn't he rambleListened to it while driving through the mts. yesterday. Like it (of course) but not in love with it. I do love that he made what he needed to make, and sing what he felt he needed to sing. This isn't a critique, just saying most songs don't hit my heart strings. Will listen again and again though. Once isn't enough.

morehere's a quote from The Yale News, a review by Patricia Hampl...at the end she says: "And though the work is not perfectly engineered for the hometown audience, Hansard conveys the pathos unique to a son of Erin." I'd agree wholeheartedly with that. I only found maybe two songs so far totally forgettable on the album. I am THRILLED to finally have HER MERCY so I can listen to it over and over.
