Just watched In The Deep Shadewhich I got at the gig on Saturday, and I really enjoyed it, especially as I was at the gig that features in it so heavily (Vicar St., 13th December 2010).

One thing though... There's a scene near the end where Glen is talking during a rehearsal about how it was a good thing he wasn't drinking the night before, and he was't angry, he was sad, and something about 'losing'. And then it cuts to the Vicar St. gig and hin saying 'There was a lot of anger in the room last night' (talking about the previous night's gig in The Olympia) and he says we're living in strange times (talking about the recession) before starting People Get Ready.

Does anyone know what the anger was about, was there some event? I can remember him saying those words in Vicar St., but I can't remember the cause of all the anger, if there was a specific cause!

Thanks...

J.

Olympia audienceI'm pretty sure the audience were full of gobshite hecklers and muppets that think it's funny to get their comments in for everyone to hear. I'm sure the band understandably got fed up with all that shite and hence the bad energy or anger.
If you look back in this forum on those dates you might see something.
I hear the Iveagh Crowd were pretty soul less also with people chatting away and not exactly moving with te music
